Exams, university, and study blues

wow, so exams huh?

to all those would be year 12 graduates and university intake students.. do not panic. well actually yes do panic. depending on your usual study habits or the pathway you want you future to take.

here's some advice and some information that isn't very widely advertised to high schooler's;

1. your teachers want you to panic- but at the same time pass everything, so relax?

2. if you fail at getting decent marks to get into uni...the end of the world right? NO, ITS NOT!!! you can STILL get into uni and there's and EASIER WAY!!!!  OK, so perhaps its a little time consuming BUT, try getting into tafe! if you do the relevant courses and diplomas in tafe you get more contact with teachers, more study time, more support AND you can later transfer INTO university!!!! (and pass with much less stress!)

3. failing an exam is not the end of the world, you can always re-enrol in the same course

4. and I'd wish someone told me this earlier; you do not have to study something you don't have your heart in! its quite pointless and the probability of failing is higher than the probability of passing

5. if you didn't consider going into uni at the time being- its never too late, so take some time off, assess your options and make your decision with full peace of mind..

....all that being said, i totally think i failed my exam today and I'm panicking like crazy despite the fact that i know I've failed the entire course due to failing all my assignments -___- so anyway.... panic mode activated. but seriously i wish I'd found out all the above back in year 12- would've saved me a lot of stress!
