awkward situations

gooood evening all!!

so how dyu feel about hanging out with your siblings finace's? interesting? awkward? boooooring? all of the above?
yeah. i agree!
so its rather annoying as well when they come into the house without prior notice. its like an invasion of privacy cause I'm used to hanging around in my pj's and singlets, so having someone randomly walk into my home, my sanctuary, suddenly and without knocking or calling out? gah! annoyance at its worst.

on a more positive note however, i am going to a ramen place tomorrow with some friends! its pretty awesome, cause so far our entire group enjoys eating there so its cool! plus! the food is AWESOME!!! a while ago we had set aside Tuesdays as ramen day and we went every week. well until one week broke the routine and looks like we're making an effort to restart it which is lovely. regularly hanging out with your friends is pretty awesome.

but, of course, no matter how much i like ramen I've never been able to make it myself. see, i don't EVER eat/drink anything with alcohol in it and all the miso paste I've ever found has sake in it so its quite annoying. anyone got any decent ramen recipes.

mental illness classification?

okay so i know I've got depression, stress and anxiety and I've been diagnosed and now I'm seeing a specialist...but my sister?

well, my mum, dad, my brothers and me too, we believe she has some sort of illness but we seriously cannot pin point what it is exactly....

1. she does stupid/bad things then thinks she did nothing wrong; to the point that she basically forgets what happened or fabricates an entirely different set of events despite there being more than one person as witness

2. she has trouble backing off in a fight; as in she NEVER backs off, even if you're so angry or upset that you're backed up in a corner of your own room crying- she. will. not. leave. you. alone. Seriously.

3. she gets angry at EVERYTHING. literally. doors left open. things moved around. not being told EVERYTHING- as in even if it doesn't involve her and its what you did in your own time.

4. if you don't get angry and upset, she starts crying and saying things like 'i did nothing wrong and you all turned on me' or the more common one 'you're all crazy and you're making my life hell. i NEVER make any of you upset so why do you always turn on me!' and so forth..

5. the other alternative result to you not getting angry is she will get  aggressive. like, REALLY aggressive, as in hitting, scratching, hair pulling, breaking things and throwing things.

so there. anyone got any insights into her crazies? some suggestions would be nice. i think dad's just about ready to either kick her out of the house or call in the loony bin.

exams, university, and internet troubles

so I've finished exams (its safe to say I've failed all my courses this semester), and somehow have been given a 'maybe, but looks like yes' answer to my request to transfer into a language degree, so I'm keeping my fingers-and toes- crossed they don't refuse me last minute!!

at any rate, not much happening here beside this abominable heat wave which has cause a mass self inflicted state of hermitude on the general public in an attempt to escape frizzy hair, sweat patches and general unattractiveness. i did however continue to go to work and cause more pain to my feet whilst also suffering for eight hours working on the one floor where the air conditioner decided to die.

on another note, i also braved the heat today with a trip to china town! well, personally i refer to it as Asia town as not all its residents, shopkeepers, workers and shops are actually Chinese. (however i have yet to find a store that sells Japanese sweets- which is really disappointing) managed to find more pocky- and if you've not heard of pocky then let me tell you that you are missing out on something that EVERYONE should try- and packaged mochi. there were also some rather adorable looking hello kitty chocolates!!!

but yes, tomorrow....work, brothers bday partaaay, (supposed to go to a friends 21st but cant ditch the familia) and then the Harry Potter movie! I've not seen it yet obviously- to my friends dismay!!!

here's some photos of the past month or so.

some random bird dad managed to actually Catch!!

disgusting looking beans i used to make shiro-an. these are the beans in the first soaking stage.

the above three are form a nice day at a park near the water.

lunch with a friend at a Lebanese place. soooo YUMMY!!

my new bed pillow/friend. so KAWAII!!!! hes a space monster? i think?

from my trip to Asia town.  little packaged mochi, hello kitty  chocolate and strawberry pocky.

Exams, university, and study blues

wow, so exams huh?

to all those would be year 12 graduates and university intake students.. do not panic. well actually yes do panic. depending on your usual study habits or the pathway you want you future to take.

here's some advice and some information that isn't very widely advertised to high schooler's;

1. your teachers want you to panic- but at the same time pass everything, so relax?

2. if you fail at getting decent marks to get into uni...the end of the world right? NO, ITS NOT!!! you can STILL get into uni and there's and EASIER WAY!!!!  OK, so perhaps its a little time consuming BUT, try getting into tafe! if you do the relevant courses and diplomas in tafe you get more contact with teachers, more study time, more support AND you can later transfer INTO university!!!! (and pass with much less stress!)

3. failing an exam is not the end of the world, you can always re-enrol in the same course

4. and I'd wish someone told me this earlier; you do not have to study something you don't have your heart in! its quite pointless and the probability of failing is higher than the probability of passing

5. if you didn't consider going into uni at the time being- its never too late, so take some time off, assess your options and make your decision with full peace of mind..

....all that being said, i totally think i failed my exam today and I'm panicking like crazy despite the fact that i know I've failed the entire course due to failing all my assignments -___- so anyway.... panic mode activated. but seriously i wish I'd found out all the above back in year 12- would've saved me a lot of stress!

first blog-thing?

so...a blog huh? is this like LJ? probably not...but then again maybe a little
not sure why I'm starting this but i just recently got myself an LJ account and this....well I'm not quite sure what this is. at any rate, I'll get used to this soon enough and try to put something interesting up.

but i can post some stuff about me i guess..... im 20...female, im currently enrolled in a uni degree that im failing rather miserable at...probably cause i never go to the lectures, the tutorials, do the assignments or study for the exams....well, this only applies to the subjects where i either 1. hate the tutor/lecturer 2. hate the subject or 3. think the subject is too simple and not a challenge..... whereas any law/maths/language courses i excel at..BUT seeing as im doing a business degree, i only get the subjects i like as a few minimal electives and the rest are things i hate...so now im in the process of trying to transfer into a language degree before i get kicked out of uni. lovely right?

in my spare time....i read. a LOT. anything thats readable really. late last year a friend introduced me to the world of manga and anime!! i love it!
