exams, university, and internet troubles

so I've finished exams (its safe to say I've failed all my courses this semester), and somehow have been given a 'maybe, but looks like yes' answer to my request to transfer into a language degree, so I'm keeping my fingers-and toes- crossed they don't refuse me last minute!!

at any rate, not much happening here beside this abominable heat wave which has cause a mass self inflicted state of hermitude on the general public in an attempt to escape frizzy hair, sweat patches and general unattractiveness. i did however continue to go to work and cause more pain to my feet whilst also suffering for eight hours working on the one floor where the air conditioner decided to die.

on another note, i also braved the heat today with a trip to china town! well, personally i refer to it as Asia town as not all its residents, shopkeepers, workers and shops are actually Chinese. (however i have yet to find a store that sells Japanese sweets- which is really disappointing) managed to find more pocky- and if you've not heard of pocky then let me tell you that you are missing out on something that EVERYONE should try- and packaged mochi. there were also some rather adorable looking hello kitty chocolates!!!

but yes, tomorrow....work, brothers bday partaaay, (supposed to go to a friends 21st but cant ditch the familia) and then the Harry Potter movie! I've not seen it yet obviously- to my friends dismay!!!

here's some photos of the past month or so.

some random bird dad managed to actually Catch!!

disgusting looking beans i used to make shiro-an. these are the beans in the first soaking stage.

the above three are form a nice day at a park near the water.
